Swing Boats

For a flavour of Morecambe’s leisure history, traditional swing boat rides have been fully restored and are available for use between April and September, weather permitting. The Swing Boats are open between 10 AM to 5 PM at a cost of £1.50 per person.

The swing boats seat two people, who sit facing each other and operate the gliding motion of the swing using rope pulls. Swing Boats were a popular seaside attraction for many decades, so whether you remember them from childhood or you’d like to experience a traditional wooden amusement ride, why not make them a part of your next visit to Happy Mount Park?

Further reminders of Morecambe’s heritage can be found in the fully restored, wooden children’s carousel. Ice cream vans are dotted throughout the park in summertime, and Café Rastelli is open and serving delicious coffee and home-cooked food in Happy Mount Park 7 days a week throughout the year.
